Angel City Chorale proudly presents RHYTHMS OF THE AMERICAS, live from UCLA's Royce Hall on Sunday, June 9th @ 3pm with LIVESTREAM.

The all-new one-time concert event will take the audience on a thrilling musical journey across the Western Hemisphere with the fusion of cultures and sounds to present a concert unlike anything you’ve experienced before. Whether it’s the lively beats of the Caribbean, choruses from Indigenous American cultures, or the soulful melodies of South America, this concert promises to captivate and inspire. Under the expert guidance of guest conductor Dr. Cristian Grases, from USC’s Thornton School of Music, immerse yourself in the rich choral traditions of the Americas. Rhythms expressed through dance, handclaps and drumming, together with vibrant harmonies and visuals, will evoke emotions to make spirits soar.

The electrifying 180-voice Angel City Chorale along with the ACC Music Ensemble will excite viewers with fresh, new arrangements of familiar titles like Duke Ellington’s It Don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t Got that Swing and Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds and will have people on their feet with the lively rendition of Diane White-Clayton’s Clap Praise. Angel City Youth Chorale’s Performance Choir will also entertain the audience with two selections.

For those who are not able to attend in person, the Sunday, June 9th performance will be available to LIVESTREAM for free. Donations are encouraged and appreciated to enable us to continue to share our music and reach people all over the world. Access to the LIVESTREAM is viewable at your convenience from Sunday June 9th at 3pm through Wednesday, July 31st at 11:59pm.
